An agent can do the work around a decision. Somebody still has to decide what is worth saying and what a film is for, and a product that pretends otherwise is selling the removal of the part that was never the problem.

The film has to be able to explain itself
Every composition carries its own understanding at the same version, and every check says which frames it was based on. A film that cannot say why it is the way it is cannot be argued with, and a film nobody can argue with does not improve.
